A multicultural week event
Come and feast on multicultural, multi-faith LGBTIQA+ stories, poetry and readings followed by a multicultural feast.
Speakers include Alushka Rajaram, Alyena Mohummadally and Vitor Rocha.
Alyena Mohummadally is a Pakistani-Australian queer Muslim woman and mother, who founded the Queer Muslims Group. She has published about her experiences being LGBTIQ and Muslim and is AGMC Vice President.
Hailing from the shores of the Indian Ocean in South Africa, Alushka Rajaram is a spoken word poet, writer and activist. Queer Refugee and Asylum Seeker from Many Coloured Sky will discuss their experiences as a refugee and the current situation for LGBTIQ+ asylum seekers and refugees.
Vitor Rocha is a gay Brazilian born, overseas medical trained GP, researcher and Palliative Care public health advocate in regional Victoria.
MC Alexander Teh is a Chinese-Australian gay man who is President of the Australian GLBTIQ Multicultural Council (AGMC)
