Vichealth Reimaging Health Grants

In late 2020, VicHealth launched its first Reimagining Health: A VicHealth Partnership Grant round and funded 460 organisations to support local ideas to provide local solutions.

In 2021, Vichealth are again offering grants for ideas that create immediate impact for improving access to healthy, affordable food, building strong social connections and increasing physical activity in their local area now and into the future. These grants replace other previous VicHealth grant rounds including Active Club Grants, Art of Good Health and Partnership grants.

 The total funding pool is up to $3 million. Funding will be available in time for delivery of projects between July 2021 and June 2022. 

Each applicant can apply for one of three funding options: 

• Up to $3,000 
• Up to $10,000 
• Up to $50,000 

Projects should support the health and wellbeing of children and young people (aged 0-25 years) and Victorians hardest hit by the impacts of coronavirus and the Victorian bushfires. This includes those who were already facing greater barriers to reaching their full health potential because of circumstances such as their income, cultural background, gender, age or where they live.

In addition, projects/ideas must address at least one of these priority areas: 

1. addressing gaps in the food system exposed by coronavirus, to build a sustainable food system that ensures all Victorians have access to healthy and affordable fresh food 
2. ongoing and meaningful social connection opportunities allowing Victorians to strengthen relationships with their peers and communities, using the arts, cultural activities, and other virtual or in person gatherings 
3. opportunities to move and be physically active whether it be through structured activities and events (teams and competitions) or supporting unstructured activities (social sport and encouraging people to walk, run, ride and skate). 

Any organisation that is an incorporated body, a company limited by guarantee, or Victorian Local Government Entity with an ABN with a project idea that meets the grant guidelines is encouraged to apply.
