Bendigo Amateur Radio & Electronics Club invites you to our September meeting - 'A brief history of Regenerative Receivers', by David VK3UCD.
David will provide an informative presentation on Regenerative Receivers - the history of 'Regeneration', it's usefulness, and why it was an important discovery for radio communications.
David is one of many home radio constructors who still make simple receivers using regeneration to get good performance from low parts count. The presentation will include two short videos and a receiver demonstration.
You will also be able to find out more about Amateur Radio, an interesting and educational pursuit that can also be used for alternative communications when other networks fail. Do you have an Emergency Communications Plan? Experienced trainers and accredited assessors can assist you with obtaining your Amateur Radio qualification.
The presentation commences at 7.30 pm, Friday September 18th at BAREC Headquarters, Bendigo East Hall, 35 Lansell St. A gold coin donation would be appreciated, and a light supper will be provided. For more information, phone Graeme on 0417 389 357.
