A Women’s Shed for Bendigo!
The Bendigo Region Women’s Shed Inc is developing a business case for presentation to the City of Greater Bendigo Council to build a shed for women.
We have a site, we have the leadership, skills and enthusiasm, and now we need your assistance to help us plan the facilities that should be included, to ensure that the building caters for the needs of women in the Bendigo Region.
The shed will essentially provide a safe and supportive space for women to gather, socialise, undertake activities, learn new skills (e.g., art, crafts, cooking, woodwork, metalwork, etc.) and gain knowledge on subjects that impact women’s safety, health and wellbeing. It will also potentially provide a new meeting space for existing women’s groups.
You can help by completing the online survey (see link below) and/or attending the Golden Square information session:
- 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm on Thursday 31 July at the Golden Square Hall, 9 Old High Street, Golden Square
