Many parents can feel isolated and alone on their journey of understanding and supporting their young person's gender identity

Many parents/carers of Transgender and Gender Diverse young people feel alone, isolated and confused.

Being in a regional area, there was previously been no access to any face-to-face peer support groups for parents/carers. The purpose of this support group is to fill this much needed gap in the Bendigo region.

Group Objectives

• Provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment for parents/carers of Transgender and Gender Diverse young people
• To support and assist each other through your young persons journey
• The opportunity to meet other parents/families/carers who are going through a similar experience/journey
• To share and gather information/knowledge and resources on Transgender and Gender Diversity
• To present guest speakers that are relevant and knowledgeable on Transgender and Gender Diversity to the parent support group

If you would like to meet other parents/carers, share experiences together, hear from guest speakers and learn more about a range of health, legal and social topics that are relevant to transgender and gender diverse young people and their families.
