About Event

Bendigo Amateur Radio & Electronics Club invites you to join their May meeting, featuring a presentation on the 'WinLink' communications system.

WinLink is a network of Amateur Radio stations that provide worldwide radio email, using radio pathways where internet infrastructure is disrupted or unavailable.

You will also be able to find out more about Amateur Radio, an interesting and educational pursuit that can also be used for alternative communications when other networks fail.  Do you have an Emergency Communications Plan?  Experienced trainers and accredited assessors can assist you with obtaining your Amateur Radio qualification.

The presentation commences at 7.30 pm, Friday May 16th at BAREC Headquarters, Bendigo East Hall, 35 Lansell St.  A gold coin donation would be appreciated, and a light supper will be provided.  For more information, phone Graeme on 0417 389 357.
