About Event

Calling volunteer mentors to support young drivers.

The Salvation Army is looking for mentor drivers to support learner drivers who face barriers in achieving the driving experience required to apply for a probationary licence.

Funded by the TAC and the Department of Transport and Planning, The Salvation Army delivers the program, matching learner drivers aged 16 to 21 with a fully licensed volunteer driver.

There is currently a waitlist of learner drivers, and a shortage of mentor drivers to guide and support them.

If you:

  • Hold a full Victorian drivers licence
  • Willing to take VicRoads training day course
  • 21 years old or over
  • Available for 2 hours a week

you could become a mentor driver for the program.

For more information about becoming an L2P volunteer mentor please contact Denise on 0409 246 416 or Kayla on 0438 774 277.
