11 stunning venues, 27 incredible instruments and 45 world-class performers.
Bendigo Fine Music presents Keys of Gold, a month-long classical music festival combining keyboard instruments with the rich heritage of glorious buildings, grand public spaces and elegant streetscapes, from the Bendigo region’s Gold Rush era.
Immerse yourself in history, fine music and world-class talent as this once-in-a-lifetime program of unique concerts pops up across Central Victoria’s regional and rural communities of Bendigo, Castlemaine, Maldon and Inglewood.
This year’s festival explores the region's historically significant churches and the instruments hidden within them. Our acclaimed musicians bring to life spectacular pipe organs, the Steinway concert grand piano selected by Vladimir Ashkenazy himself for the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, and more, complemented by supporting instruments and voices.
16 very special concerts have been scheduled across four weekends in July, inspired by historic architect William Vahland's vision of making Bendigo the ‘Vienna of the South’.
