We’re La Trobe University's largest regional campus, with more than 4000 students and 400 staff. Our courses include allied health and nursing, engineering, education, arts , business, IT and more. The campus is also home to world class research. We feature many annual free public lectures and events, both on campus and in the City of Greater Bendigo's premier venues. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the majority of events are currently online, so we can continue to contribute to the cultural and educational life of Bendigo.

About Us

We're La Trobe’s largest regional campus, with more than 4000 students and 400 staff.

Our courses include allied health and nursing, science and engineering, education, arts, business, IT and many more.

Our campus is located in Flora Hill, an easy 3km drive or bike ride from the Bendigo CBD. We're located next to Greater Bendigo National Park, which means even though we’re close to all the action of the city, you’ll often see kangaroos on campus!

The campus became an integral part of La Trobe in 1991, however the university and its antecedent organisations have been providing tertiary education in Bendigo for nearly 150 years.

We have deep community connections and a Regional Advisory Board that enables local community members to provide advice on the strategic direction and local priorities of the campus.

As Victoria's only state-wide university, La Trobe is deeply committed to its regional campuses.  The  La Trobe University Strategy for Regional Victoria was released in 2020 and details our strategic direction, as a multi-campus university.  The Bendigo Campus Plan outlines our local strategy and commitment to the region.

The campus features purpose-built departments for business, arts, education, outdoor education, health, science and engineering.

Our premier lecture theatres, exercise laboratory, technology-packed classrooms and sports field are used by many community organisations, making the campus an integral part of the city.

We're proud to host some of Bendigo’s most impressive works of architecture, including our brand new library and engineering building, which both enjoy fantastic views across the city skyline.
