YO Bendigo

The Youth Portal provides information on all of the services, programs, activities, events, and opportunities for young people from across the CoGB which are offered by Council, Community and Government.

Capacity building workshops

• YO Bendigo hosts a variety of capacity building workshops throughout the school terms and holidays.
• These include - barista workshops, creative arts, employment and life skills, etc.

YO media team

• Was created to assist in bringing the skills and interests of young people to the public of Regional Victoria. 
• YO Media Team are - highly creative and innovative, varied in their passions for multimedia and visual arts, aged between 12-24 years and either  live, work or study in the City of Greater Bendigo

YO Events team

• A fun-loving team of young people creating live music and skate events across Bendigo - for young people, by young people. The team meets for an hour once a week after school hours.
• The YO Events team does all aspects of event planning and management including - planning and logistics, booking artists, budgeting, promotion and marketing, stage/backstage management, sound production and more!

Youth Council

• An advisory and advocacy committee of 19 young people, whose role it is to represent and promote the voice of young people aged 12-24 who live, work and study in the City of Greater bendigo.
• The Youth Council meets regularly to discuss issues that are important to young people in Greater Bendigo.

The City of Greater Bendigo has endeavoured to provide, though the establishment of YO Bendigo, every opportunity for young people to access accurate information that enables them to actively participate, provides a range of choices, helps them to celebrate their achievements, resource themselves and connect to all that is available in our community.
