We want to see CONNECT Greater Bendigo generate positive connections in the community. For that to happen, there are rules around the use of this website to ensure fairness, protection and provision of responsibility. We recommend you review Terms and Conditions regularly.

CONNECT Greater Bendigo is a directory for not-for-profit organisations, Allied Health and NDIS providers, sporting, recreation and community groups  based in the City of Greater Bendigo.

The platform will not list for-profit services, commercial business listings or political organisations.

Exceptions may be made where an organisation primarily offers services delivered by a health professional, Allied Health or NDIS service provider and schools.

Only services, groups, clubs and organisations whose activities are deemed non-discriminatory and legal will be listed.

The administrator has the sole and absolute discretion to decide whether an organisation’s profile is listed.

Decisions by the administrator about whether an organisation is listed cannot be appealed and there is no pathway to appeal.

The administrator is deemed to be the City of Greater Bendigo and anyone involved in creating or maintaining the platform.

The administrator has the right to:

1. Approve the registration of new listings and determine fair use of the platform.
2. Edit, refuse, or remove any listing of an organisation’s profile, or any links to a website contained in a profile, at any time for any reason. Administrators may choose, but are under no obligation, to provide a reason why a profile or any content contained in a profile was edited, rejected or removed.
3. Remove information which, in the opinion of the administrator, is political, racist, unlawful, threatening, abusive, indecent, pornographic or defamatory.
4. Modify or discontinue any service contained on the website at any time for any reason.
5. Provide information contained in any directory, apart from that marked specifically private, in other formats such as publications and online newsletters. The administrator’s privacy policy explains how information will be collected, used, stored and disclosed. You can view the City of Greater Bendigo’s privacy statement here.
6. Amend the Terms and Conditions at any time. Amendments will take effect immediately upon publication. Your continued use of the website following such publication will be taken as your acceptance of these terms as amended.

Administrators confirm that:

1. CONNECT Greater Bendigo is for the use only of groups whose activities are not-for-profit. Administrators reserve the right to request proof of not-for-profit status.
2. The services of health professionals are considered an exception, but only at the discretion of the administrator.
3. Only groups whose activities occur within the City of Greater Bendigo region will have their profiles published.
4. Only groups that engage in non-discriminatory and legal activities will have their profile listed.
5. Illegal use includes any material created for publication on the platform that breaches any law or regulation in force in Australia.
6. Using the platform to encourage conduct that would constitute a criminal offence.
7. Listing material that violates Intellectual Property Rights.
8. Uploading files that contain computer viruses or any other type of malicious or harmful program.
9. Only groups, activities and organisations whose activities are deemed non-political by the administrator will be included in listings. Political activity is defined as including, by also extending beyond, the support of political parties or of those seeking political office. Supporting or opposing a change to the law or policy is regarded as a political purpose, as are attempts to sway public opinion on controversial social issues.
10.  It is the responsibility of the listing organisation to ensure any information they wish to remain private is not entered into the public details section of the directory registration form. Entry of information in the community directory registration form is deemed to be consent for administrators to disclose that information to the public.
11. Any information provided in organisation profiles is a representation that the listing organisation has all the relevant licences, insurance, permits and approvals; and that appropriate security measures are in place to protect the organisation’s assets.
12. When providing community support to other organisations and people through the website, the duty of care rests with the organisation providing support. Administrators accept no liability for any errors, acts or omissions of listing organisations in providing their services.
13. Administrators do not warrant and cannot ensure the security of information that you provide in registering for the website, though we will endeavour to protect this information. Listing organisations provide this information at their own risk.
14. Administrators do no guarantee the constant availability of the platform and accept no liability for down time or access failure whatsoever, including due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
15. These terms are construed in accordance with and are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

In registering with CONNECT Greater Bendigo, you assume all responsibility for the use of the platform, and the internet in general.

The administrator accepts no liability or responsibility for any loss or damage, either direct or indirect, resulting from any use or access of, or any inability to use or access CONNECT Greater Bendigo or any linked sites.
