CONNECT could make the difference

Baptcare has been part of the CONNECT Greater Bendigo story from the beginning.

Local team leader Jane Worthington helped shape the online community directory.  She was among community leaders that met in focus groups in the months leading up to the launch of CONNECT.

She knew Baptcare would benefit from a website that was a platform on which she could promote her organisation’s services and opportunities.

“CONNECT brings with it a new era of networking for the groups and services of Bendigo, something that’s been missing for us all for such a long time,” Ms Worthington said.

“For Baptcare it will be a place to share about our volunteering opportunities, events and to reach out to the wider community.

“For Bendigo this kind of space and place to meet, research, find services, groups and other community networks will provide a ‘one stop’ location for all to find out about what’s around them in the community.

“So, to those out there wondering if they should register I’d say ‘do it’!

“The difference this could make to your group or service about how you connect with the networks you wish to reach could be profound.”
